LOTUS LAND – Charles Keillor Drawings May 10th to June 2nd

print-posterThis solo exhibition features Charles Keillor – an award winning ‘graphite pencil specialist’ – and his uniquely stylized, mood-filled drawings of Metropolitan Vancouver. These large drawings of iconic and lesser  known Lower Mainland locations are rendered in a high-contrast,
monochromatic style, that gives all of his work a compelling, mysterious edge.

LOTUS LAND will remain on display until June 2, 2013.
Exhibition hours: Tuesday through Sunday, Noon to 5pm

Crystalline ceramics are in a class by themselves ~ a glaze of actual crystals grown upon the surface during an arduous and complicated firing.  This highly specialized technique, through the union of chemistry and nature, conjures a marvelous marriage of the elements.

Artemis is delighted to present the first all-crystalline exhibition in B.C.,  featuring accomplished ceramicists Holly McKeen, Linda Ward, Pat Schendel,  Linda Doherty, and Branden Martin ~ artists of the Fraser Valley who share this unique and complex discipline.
